Dinosaur Park

This weekend I had the pleasure to hit Dinosaur Park two days in a row with my girls. Cote made it on Saturday, but stayed home to work on Sunday afternoon (Cote is such a workaholic - something about an important budget thingee).

Lily swing - she looks so indifferent.

Alex skys.

A squirrel was looking for a nut, but didn't realize Lily was in the swing.

Time for some boonie-stompin'.

Riding the gator.

Alex on the firetruck.

Dad gets a moment with his girls.

More swinging.

Big sister helps out.

Playing peek-a-boo in the tunnel.

Guess who else wants to play.

Alex gives this picture taking thing a go.

Who let her on the playground with no shoes anyway?

Doing her "exercises".

On the bouncy contraption.

Video of laughing Lily, on a swing.

PJ Time

It was time for PJs early Friday night (or was it still the afternoon?), and the girls donned their matching PJs.

Two princesses and a queen.

Double-L kiss.

Halloween

For Halloween we trekked over to the Yates' place for dinner and to deploy the troops. Alex had been battling sickness all week and only made it out for one round of trick-or-treating. You know she was feeling it when she passed up free candy.

Hannah Montana, Harry Potter, and a Goofy Pirate.

Practicing their trademarks.

Yahtzee family shot.

Lily gears up for the fun. Sorry, no candy for her this year - there aren't too many candy bars that can be gummed.

A whole lot of characters.

The ladies and the Lily.

Halloween kisses.

I laughed, I cried, it was better than cats.

Rosa Lee Carter Fieldtrip

Halloween day Alex & Cote hit "Pumpkinville" at the Leesburg Animal Farm for a field trip. Cote was one of the responsible ones - if you can believe that, since she was one of the "chaperons". The weather was unseasonably warm.

Always in character this one.

Kiddie hay ride.

Cote adopts one of Alex's schoolmates for the day.

Deer Alex.

Alex shows the city girls in her class how to feed a farm animal.

Alex demonstrates her nice form for the camera.

Alex on the merry-go-around. These things are almost extinct.

The teachers hold a line up to identify the misbehaving kids. All of them were ID'd.

I didn't know the Leesburg Animal Farm had monkeys too.

Defenders of the Fort.

The chaperons' biggest job of the day was lugging all the jackets around (next to not losing a child of course).

Lily Bath time

Just a random night of the post-bath time shenanigans. Lily is all decked out in her "Lily Girl" towel, aka "Bo-Bo". Of course Lily's towel is named "Bo-Bo" because Alex's "Alex Girl" towel is named "Be-Bo". This all makes sense to us, I assure you.

Lily loves that clean feeling.

Lily on the move.

Scary monster.

That is Lily roaring.

All cleaned up on the big comfy chair.

Clydes fall festival 08

Audrey and Alex joined forces to tackle the Clydes fall festival. Their favorite things were the pony rides, the petting farm area, and the live music. Alex remembered the Pony that she rode last year - and she pointed out that Audrey rode the pony she rode last year.

Audrey the cowgirl.

Giddy up.

There is a new sheriff in town.

"Hey, who turned out the lights?"

Alex gets to pet the ducks.

Audrey corners the turtle while Dave supervises.

Alex and Audrey check out the chickens.

Time for music.

Big pumpkin.
