Chicago

At the end of April, we hit Chicago with the Yates and Hills. Our agenda included the Field Museum, the hotel pool, Wrigley Field, the Sears Tower, and the Navy Pier. Somehow we squeezed a visit to the America Girl Doll store. We had a great time, if only we had another two weeks to check out the rest of the city.

Big bad Sue.

Outdoor Fun

Busy weekend when such nice weather arrived. An afternoon to Carriage Hill to see the sheep get sheared one day. Hiking at Glenn Helen (topped off with ice cream at Young's Dairy) the next day. So much to do...

Carriage Hill

Hanging with the Colangelos (or "Gelos") (by the way, Alex took this picture)

Alex pets the lamb while the sheep get sheared.

City folk watching the sheep get sheared.

The girls learn how to make clothes.

Silliness during our picnic.

And now the funny faces...

Ellie gives it a go.

Now that is wacky.

Maggie shows her stuff.

Glen Helen

The Roys, Yates, and Nances cross the mighty river.

Taking a breather.

Meeting up with the Gelos at Young's Dairy (if only for a moment)

Everything is better topped off with some Young's ice cream.

Spring has sprung

When the weather finally cleared up, there was a mad dash for outdoor fun. Flying kites at the park and neighborhood barbecues go well with the nice weather.

Look at that face.

Ladybug, ladybug fly away home.

Alex sure loves animals.

While the mommies went shopping, the boys watched the kids and busted out the barbecue.

House of dolls.

Audrey plays peek-a-boo.

The kids spent hours on the trampoline (helps them sleep well at night).

Pure chaos.

Dave watches the insanity from a safe distance.

Birthdays Galore

In March & April, Alex went to a number of birthday parties. Nothing says fun like a bunch of 4 & 5 year olds amped up on sugar.

Pizza time.

Sugar high acoming...

Olivia's Birthday Party

Kinda makes me nervous.
