White House Easter Egg Roll

The group hit D.C. for the Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn on the 24th. We met up on the Ellipse - it looked a bit different than Friday night. The kids ran around and the adults yapped. We then queued up in a holding tent and it was off to the White House lawn. While we were in the late batch - we were able to just catch the Jonas Brothers playing (if you have to ask who they are, then you are old - like us).

The weather was great - there were some clouds and the air was brisk, but given it was originally suppose to rain -- you won't hear any complaints from us. Some of the group finished off the day at Old Ebbetts Grill and then head home - exhausted. What a day.

Easter Day

Easter finally arrive - followed by yet another Easter Egg hunt. This time, the Easter Bunny had hid the eggs in the house (per Alex's letter to the Easter Bunny). Alex made a mad dash through the house finding the eggs. The rest of the day included going to church and a play date with Ryan at the Dinosaur Park.



How can she find anything in that room?

The Easter Bunny brought Alex & Bunny matching dresses (OK - the dress was really for Alex's American Girl Doll).

The Sikras come to town

Jim & Lori were in town visiting family, so we hosted the Sikra clan, their family, and a number of other friends. The kids ran around like banshees and had a great time tearing up the house (especially the basement) and left the adults to hang out and catch up on the latest Sikra news. We sure miss Princess Lori & Mr. Yim.

Camping on the Ellipse

In an effort to participate in the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, a group of us camped out on the Ellipse of the White House to get the highly-coveted tickets. With our fearless leader Matt - Dave C., Dave Y., Kerri, Steve, & I gathered on the Ellipse of the White House with about 1500 equally crazed individuals on a Friday night. We set up the tent, the lawn chairs, and waited to see if we would be one of the lucky ones to get tickets.
